By default, Neuron sets a region called Ireland ( eu-west-1 ) to host your data on AWS. However, in order to comply with the applicable law in each country, it's possible to choose a region to host your data on AWS.

Due to the creation process for all the infrastructure behind data storage, it's not possible to modify a region once the account has been created on Neuron for the first time, so take this into account during this step in the process.

This means that if your installation falls under certain legal stipulations that involve storing data in a specific region, you'll have to choose the region or zone you prefer before finishing the account creation process on Neuron, right after configuring your subscription.

If you have any doubts on which region you should pick to host your installation's data, you can check AWS's list of available regions and zones here.
