IO-Link is the first worldwide standardized communication protocol (IEC 61131-9) for communication between sensors and actuators. It’s a protocol that makes the devices can communicate with one another in a faster, more flexible, secure, and efficient way.

Neuron uses this system due to its great acceptance among device manufacturers, up to 23,000 IO-Link devices on the market; its versatility for all types of installations and industries and because, thanks to the retrofitting, it’s also compatible with other standards for communication between devices.

If you have an installation without IO-Link devices and want to know how to make it compatible with Neuron, you can read this article or consult our technical support service so they can study your specific case at neuron@plexo.cloud.
