Neuron allows us to configure our installation using two different protocols. So, depending on whether you choose IO-Link or MQTT, you'll need different components to install Neuron.
Components for initial setup with IO-Link
To start Neuron‘s initial setup with IO-Link and Neuron Edge, besides having an Internet connection, you'll need several components. Once you have them, it'll only take 15 minutes to get Neuron running.
The components you’ll need are the following:
IO-Link devices for your installation
CPU to install Neuron Edge
In addition, if you already have an installation but it's not IO-Link, you can still configure Neuron using an IO-Link Data Splitter or an Advantech Edge Link System.
When you have all the components, you can go to configuration steps and find a step-by-step breakdown of how to register, install and configure Neuron in your installation.
Components for initial setup with MQTT
To start Neuron‘s initial setup with an MQTT protocol, besides having an Internet connection, you need several components. Once you have all the ones you need, it only takes a few minutes to start running Neuron.
The components you’ll need are the following:
Devices you want to connect
WISE-EdgeLink in your physical installation
When you have all the components, you can go to MQTT configuration steps and find a step-by-step breakdown of how to register, install and configure Neuron in your installation.
