IODD (IO Device Description) is the information on a device that is provided by the manufacturer. It's automatically retrieved when linking an IO-Link device to Neuron and it's not necessary to carry out any action to complete it. It's basically a device's identity card.

Thanks to the IODD file, we can know certain details such as the model, the parameters it measures, its properties, the channels it has, the image that's associated with it... Some of these data are always shown on the product file, but other data only appear in the device's specifications.

You can access a complete list of specifications on each device in the "Details" section in the menu located on the right-hand side of the device file.
