Using models and submodels allows us to establish hierarchical relationships between our assets. This way, we can manually create models to represent the different device structures within an installation.
For example, we can manually create a model called "Factory" that groups different submodels. "Factory" would be a manually created model whose task is to establish a hierarchy within the installation.
When created manually, we’ll be able to configure its name, the measurements, and the different metrics and transforms that would be applied to the Assets that it groups together.
So all formula expressions that we apply to the model "Factory" will be applied to all of its submodels and consequently to all assets and sub-assets created from them.
