Depending on what device information you want to show on each monitor, select your preferred type of widget. Although, due to their nature, not all widgets can display the same data.

The following table shows the compatibility between the different types of widgets and the data they can display:

Displays metrics or transforms.

For example, displaying temperatures in degrees Celsius.

Displays information in integers from a sensor’s asset data.

For example, in line graphs, temperature data progression over a period of time.

They can display previously defined Boolean values and non-countable attributes so that, instead of displaying a number, they display text explaining the result.

For example, cold, hot, optimal, insufficient...

They can display texts that interest the user or provide them with additional information.

For example, the device name, serial number...

So when creating a widget, Neuron shows us which data are compatible or incompatible with the selected widget as follows:

  • Compatible (dark gray)

  • Incompatible (light gray)
